Anyone played it?

I feel it is sort of a mixture of Strength & Honour (old game), regular RTS and Travian/Tribal Wars/etc (browser-based strategy games). So far the only thing I don't like at all about it is the rapid advance through ages. You start of in some rather primitive age with primitive industry and primitive troops, and then you do some research and advance through ages as the game progresses. Within an hour of a normal game, if you're dedicated, you're already through industrial and enlightened ages (can't recall the latest ones), and to be honest.. I'd love to see it take a while longer, perhaps start a match in medieval age and perhaps advance two ages at maximum.

The 'campaign' mode is about conquering the world (or the world as it was considered at this and that age, you can do the entire modern world) and there it's pretty much (when you enter battles to conquer or defend territory) like I described, you start in the age of the world as a whole, and are able to advance one age during the battle.

I am also missing some epic maps where the battle lasts for a long long while and it takes time to move troops in for assault as well as you've got plenty of time to set up strategic buildings and use mountains and forests to your advantage instead of standard Starcraft-style battles (although fun, I'd rather play Starcraft to experience that) that are done in a few minutes. Though there might be something like that, only I have not noticed yet.

If there's another thread about this game I'm sorry, but reopening it would be necroposting as it's not among the latest posts.
