Just some advice from someone who has been mapping for a long time, your first map will suck so hard that it should never be seen by anyone. Now true, alot of us worked hard on our first maps. But that doesn't mean there anywhere close to tolerable. It could take years before someone thinks that your map is "kind of cool". Also be sure to always look at the rules before posting anything anywhere.

But since u posted the map, if it doesn't get taken down, you should put in some screen shots under the description so we can see what it looks like.

BTW i didn't actually play your map (a big turn off was the "this is my first map"), so everything i say is based off of generalizations.

ur link in it doesn't work. Try uploading it to image shack, and posting from there.

also to make sure your BB code works, make a thread and put the post your going to post up there, hit preview. once u get that works, then u edit the description, copy and paste the previewed bb code in there, and it should work.

k, i have links to the images but i would rather have the thumbnails that you click and it opens a box in the middle of the screen and shows the screenshot. How do i do that? Sorry, I don't usually post anything on this website so I don't know how to do this stuff. Thanks for being understanding and not flaming me.

im actually not sure, however their are excellent forums on this sight (their is a link at the very top that says Forums in green). Try looking in there. Also its custom to rep people who help you. Rep like gives you more credit i guess when posting and people take you more seriously (or something). On the side of someones post their is a little Box to click, and that is how you rep someone.

Look at Question #19. But don't let the terrible review get you down. I had a map i was real proud of *and still kind of am* however it got like a 30 out of 90 points from the guy who reviewed it. But the point of mapping is that you map and you make something and you play it and YOU have fun with it. Usually i just brushed off whatever criticism i got and watched tv or worked on a different map or just played ladder games on b.net or played a different game. Don't let it get to ya :)

Any other questions you have you should look under "Tutorials" at the very top, as it is very vast and their is alot that can be learned there. Their is also a "World Editor Help" section here on the hive. but don't abuse it and spam it up with dumb questions please, also use the search function as your question has probably already been answered. This can be found here:

good luck.
