Repair spell when having item in inventory

How can I make my hero able to repair buldings when he wears a specific item?
Tried adding repair spell(item ability enabled) into a item.

You have to trigger it, checking whenever an unit picks up the repair item and then add the repair ability to it. You will need to also make another trigger checking if the unit drops that item and then remove the ability.

Ok and how can I hide the icon of repair?
If I do the spellbook method I am not able to repair buldings....

I don't know if it's possible to hide the ability icon. But try takeing a look at this post.

This guy disovered a way to hide the standard command buttons. Maybe you can do the same for the repair icon.

The import will hide the repair button for you however you lose the ability to click it as well the animation. Easy enough to remake both of those though.
