Real number angles {will the engine screw up with angles over 360 degrees?}

If you have a unit that shoots shockwaves at a variable angle, that increases something like 30 degrees every instance, will it mess up when it reaches > 360, or does the engine realize that 390 degrees = 30 degrees?
