Random Custom Spellcaster Unit Idea - The Technomancer

A Dwarven or gnomish caster called "Technomancer"
Visually, think of a little bald guy with goggles, shiveled/electrocuted moustache, holding a wrench in one hand and some kinda electrical doo-hicky in the other hand which he uses to fire shaman lightning projectiles from range as his default attack.

Fit as an addition to the existing human techtree or as part of some dwarf or gnome custom race.

Unit description: "Versatile spellcaster, adept at supporting and disabling mechanical units."

Spells:

Overclock
45 mana, 2 sec cooldown, auto-cast
Raises a friendly mechanical unit's attack speed by 25% and movement speed by 40%.
(literally bloodlust but only able to target mechanical units)

Summon Repair Bot
60 mana, 30 sec cooldown
Summons a temporary mechanical Clockwork Goblin which can serve as a light melee combat unit or repair friendly mechanical units as if it were a worker.
Lasts 25 seconds.
Deals 20 damage to nearby enemies upon death or expiration.
(like 280hp, 10-11 dmg, 0 armor, heavy, doesnt benefit from any upgrades)

Sabotage
125 Mana, 14 sec cooldown
The Technomancer disables a target enemy mechanical unit from melee range, stunning it for 8 seconds. (cannot target structures)

Special Passive (optional):
Zapping Attacks
Attacks from the Technomancer deal an additional 10 bonus damage versus enemy mechanical units (but not structures) as well as 5 bonus damage versus summoned units.

(Up to you whether you make him a light 2-food unit or a medium 3-food unit, but ill write stat estimate guidelines for both)
Trainable at Workshop, but has Arcane Vault and Sanctum as techtree requirement.

(if 2 food)
155 gold, 30 lumber, 2 food
320hp (+35 per training level)
9-17 piercing damage, 500 range, 1.60 sec atk spd (doesnt change or upgrade)
0 armor, unarmored (doesnt change or upgrade)
200 base mana +0.87 regen (+100 max and +0.33 regen per training level)
but not that "Zapping Attacks" passive.

(if 3 food)
180 gold, 50 lumber, 3 food
390hp (+40 per training level)
12-27 piercing damage, 500 range, 1.60 sec atk spd
1 armor, possibly medium type, but doesnt benefit from armor upgrades
250 base mana +1.10 regen (+125 max and +0.45 regen per training level)
but also gets that "Zapping Attacks" passive

Also if you go with 3-food cost variant, maybe make Overclock targetable on friendly structures, Clockwork Goblin on-death damage to 35 and increase "Sabotage" mana cost to 150, but stun duration to 10 whole seconds.

All in all, just a cool random idea that came into my head. Feel free to draw inspiration from it or just use it straight up, idk.

This reminds me to Team Fortress Engineer and spy. Engineer can create mechanical units and spy can disable them.
A very interesting concept and I like it. I think it will be perfect for/against a dwarf or gnome custom race that's designed in a way to focus on artillery attacks using mechanical units.

I love how you describe the unit, I can perfectly imagine the visual looks of it.
