Hi guys,
Sorry for bothering you all. I tried to search up on hive for key words relating to this, but nothing came across with a relevant answer so I am posting here. Basically, I have a situation with a main quest that has 3 quest requirements, A, B and C. A and B are quest related objectives, while C is "this hero must survive".
In my quests, A is of course revealed at the map's start, but B is only revealed after A is "completed". C of course is with A at the start, so it will show A at the top, then C below A on the quest log at the start of the mission. But when B is "discovered", it appears below C (which is correct in the chronological sense). But it is very "un-Warcraft-like" for the "this hero must survive" to NOT be at the bottom of the requirements.
There is no example from the bliz campaigns that I can learn from, since every mission I have studied avoids this issue by simply having multiple main quests, as posed to adding more than two quest requirements on non-RTS missions (the ones where hero dying = fail).
So, while I can avoid this issue I am facing by simply destroying the old "this hero must survive" and making a new fourth quest requirement "D" so it follows after B, I was wondering if there is another way around this since I would essentially be destroying the old requirements on all my maps.
Sorry if I did not explain this clearly
