Hey all, I'm trying to make a spell that works as followed: a unit casts it, it shoots an arrow projectile to the target it casted the spell on.
If that target has a buff explode in aoe damage, if not just do regular damage. The thing is I don't know which method I should use for creating the projectile. Should I use a dummy unit that attacks with a projectile and then use damage detection, should I move a dummy unit with a projectile model, should I base the spell off of a spell that uses projectiles or should I use a custom missile system in vjass?

What would be the most efficient and best approach on doing this? I would like to have the best solution possible that works efficient and fast.

if i were you, i'd choose depending on how many spells make this kind of problem. if alot of spells use this, i'd use a missile system. if not, just go for a simple approach. also,
...should I move a dummy unit with a projectile model...
is a missile system in a nutshell (i think).
