Problems with fade

Hello, i am wokring on a campgain and on my first make on a prologue,i had a problem:
i fade in, then i fade out and start a story teller saying a story while showing some camps and things, then i put a command fade in agian, it fade in faster then the story teller tells his story , i want him to tell the story,then fade in, i put the command "wait" its still not working, please help me.(Please tell me if you dont understand somthing that i writed)
