Question, why the title is chosen as "Power Words"? Maybe you want "Words of Power" to make it looks cool title. 8)
Well I guess I imagine the game at a cinematic level. I imagine the heroes saying "Power Word! FIRE!" not "Word of Power! FIRE!" for example. Also- I always held a fond interest of spells that were entitled "Power Word *blank*" These spells can be found in WoW, Baldurs Gate series, Icewindale and probably even D&D games but I'm not too sure about D&D b/c i have never played D&D games. Anyway I'll take this opportunity to introduce 2 sets of power words found from the orb of fire and orb of frost in my map "Power Words Arena" which is about 1/2 through development-
Orb of Fire
Tier1 , Combo(t1) , Tier2 , Tier3 ,
fire , "shock" then "fire" , flamestrike , immolate
Orb of Frost
Tier1 , Combo(t1) , Tier2 , Tier3
frost , "shock" then "frost" , nova , blizzard
fire = Firebolt
flamestrike = Flamestrike
immolate = Immolation (target)
frost = Frostbolt
nova = Frost Nova
blizzard = Blizzard
shock** = Chain Lightning
shock-fire= Forked Fireballs
shock-frost= Cone of Cold
With just 2 items in your inventory and knwledge of game lore you can momentarily give your hero (who only has up to 3 innate abilities)- 8 different abilities. All you have to do is type the Power Words. Oh and btw there are a total of 4 orbs the others being Shadow and Holy. If you excel in pvp and collect all 4 orbs your hero will have access to 16 abilities from the orbs alone and 5 more abilities through the philosphers stone. Also im working on tier 4 spells and casting mechanics so that "16" number could exponentially increase when im finally done.
**powerword shock comes from buying your hero a philospher's stone so he can perform magic that uses natural elements i.e. Earthquake, Cyclone, Tornado, Monsoon, Lightning Shield. Natural Power Words have many tiers and are unfavorable to use in combat but are needed in the heavy siege of zones that are heavily defended.
