Download and install Steam OS, add the game to your library, connect PC to TV, boom.

Actually playing it, however, will take quite a bit of skill.

Depends on what exactly you mean.

Can someone crafty connect a console controller to a pc, create a mapping for the buttons to the most important wc3 keys and then play it? Of course.

Will wc3 ever be officially playable for a real console? No.

Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 could do it if you can hack their BIOS to boot into Windows XP or later. It may also be possible on them under Linux if you run some Windows virtualization program.

No other consoles can without emulation and they all lack the resources for that. The only reason those two can do it is because they are basically cheap and restricted PCs (same processor, same graphics).

Strategy games on consoles? WTF. Thats suck. PC has much more button so its so easy with the shortcut. If using an XBOX or PS controller, which have only around 10 buttons + 4 for the directional-pad, must using advance combination to play. And that so awkward. Only my opinion though.

But, playing strategy game like Full Spectrum Warrior or similiar to that are much easier to play with XBOX controller
