Plagued Grounds VB0.13

This is a Survival/Tag game. Its about 10 Humans to create bases and survive long enough to be able to make their own items to improve their power to kill the Undead. Its about one Undead Player controlling a Abomination, just like Vampirism, but the Abomination are able to create massive hordes of skeletons, ghouls and zombies to improve gameplay and make game harder for humans.

Humans: The main point for the Humans is to kill the Abomination with their Workers, no towers are able to kill the Abomination like the Human can be able to.
The Humans must create Armor/Weaponsmiths to be able to create Weapons/Armors, when they get some gear that are good, they will be able to kill the Abomination by themselfes.
But a very important thing is, that they must try to survive the Abomination untill they get weapons and armors.
When a human dies, they will be reborn as a Paladin, the paladin are strong but can only carry one item, humans can carry 3.
Tip: To buy time, just spam low-price items all over the place, the Abomination does NOT gain experimence by killing other than "Humans".


Undead: This is a Single player, controlling a very strong Abomination. The abominations mission is to kill the humans before they get strong enough to kill him. The Abomination can increase its own powers every time it kills a Human by researching . But a very important thing is that it CANNOT regenerate hit points, it is able to research a "Restore" tech type that can only be used ONCE, it fully restores the Abominations HP and MP to 100%. If you dont kill all humans/paladins quick, they will kill you.
Tip: A random ping of a human location spawns every 20th second, use that to find them!

Map is currently NOT done, and its UNPROTECTED.

New version! ALOT of changes and bug fixes!

You miss hotkeys for build options, as well as game modes, a multiboard, more various builders and some other races. This is quite simple, yet it is decent enough to be Approved with a 2/5 (Lacking) rating.

It is a nice map and could be a lot better as all those Vampirism copies out there.

Some things to fix:
- Add leaving messages.
- Some sky effects for cinematics.
- Fix the item selling on shops.
- Make sure the game ends.
- Fix the unreachable building spot.

Ideas:
- Make playing with the Paladin a bit more fun.
- Make something that gives another player control over the Abomination if the controller leaves.

Questions:
- Why does the Paladin have those spells (Taunt and Anti-Magic Shield)?

I love your map by the way and I am happy to finally see a Vampirism-like map where the killers do not regain health and where the humans do not get unstoppable camping spots after playing for a while (leaving only 1 option for those vampires: leaving >_>).

I currently rate this map with a 4 out of 5 :thumbs_up:

PS: you got some typos in your map description.

EDIT: What to say? You 're f**k**g a**h**e ^^ you stole my idea I reseverd for my next project. (even if it wasn't a vampirism like map, but an AoS) Okay, I stop kidding. I know that I am not funny... I like your map. Especially the feature with the weapons. That's great. That's so great. I adored playing (alone ^^) spreading my "kingdom" all over the map and pimping my hero to the master of war. The terrain is awesome. There's really this "plague feeling".

But, now what I disliked. There is a lot of it:
-remove all custom icons plz. Useless map size increasing. Why did you replace the default attack, defence, etc. icons?
-I was so bored when I played the Abomination. Make two of them, but weaker. And make that they can carry items. This way, abomination players can steal all the coper coins that spawn in the map, in order to keep the humans' economy at a low level.
-what did the paladins do in the map? they were running and I killed them lso easy. Either you remove them or you make them stronger

That's all so far. Keep on improving. Normally I dislike vamparism maps 'cause the terrain is bad, the game sucks and so on. But this one is awesome!

EDIT [2]: Your map is unprotected? Can I export some of your weapons and amors and shields? For more than two weeks I am looking for good weapon models....

1. Stole your idea? Lolz!! And you are funny :p

2. I understand about the file-size, because 40% of the icons are not being used... i am just having trouble finding them since they all look the same in the Import Manager.

3. I will remove custom move, patrol ect. icons to default, that way i save 100KB =)

4. Did you try playing a Paladin?, when a Human dies, they can be a Paladin. A paladin can carry 1 item, if they carry a Armor that gives +80, they will be much stronger than the humans ever would be. Also i think you mean the paladins owned by Dark Green, thats just easy ones i made for extra protection for the humans in start.

5. Most of the weapon and armor models are by Kitabatake, all credits to him.
Try search for his name in the model forums and you will see a bunch of models as weapons/armors.

Actually, I played your map alone, therefor it was a bit "difficult" to die. So I didn't experienced the paladin feature. And I agree with Billy concerning the leaver feature. Make that someone of the humanes replaces the abomination player when the original player leaves. Another reason why I am fed up with normal vampirism maps. They don't have such balancing feature.
By the way, please protect your map. I think that by using the wc3 optimizer and by removing some useless things you can decrease your map's size by 50% at least! Normally, I would do that, but the optimizer doesn't work on my PC anymore :(

Don't forget to set back the cam for those who scrolled (using a timed trigger or a command based trigger)

Ps: I also thought there was a way to prevent scrolling, by importing a little thing.

Dude I like the idea about this map... Now you don´t have to hide in base all the time when playing runner because you have to kill the abomination youself. 4/5 :D
