I joined a game. The host pinged the room and got me at 300 ms.

Luckily, the host knew that some people could lag at 20 ms while some won't at 900 ms.

So he let me stay. But the other people were like:

OMG, you're letting him in? Didn't you see the ms you noob!

or

300 ms and you're letting him in??? WTF, host is retarded.

and they usually leave.

But when we played, I didn't lag. And funny as it is, the person who accused me that I will lag... Is lagging... :xxd:

So, my say is, why the hell is ping the foundation of either keeping you in or not?

Pings are indeed overrated, FPS is more accurate ^^
(I don't think you can see other people's FPS, but I always use xFire to see mine, or you can type /fps :p)

Most people that react like "omg, n0000bb, 3O0 ping, h3's the n00bz0r, k1kc him!!!!" are usually the ones that will get kicked if they join my maps.
