Nope. Never destroyed. Infact after 47 years after the events of the original Macross series, its still there as of Macross Frontier. But after the original events, its stays in a lake permanently after it takes a catastrophic amount of damage. Still works and gets later refitted abit, but its not going anywhere. And the Earth is rebuilt around the Macross =\
 
So you'd think. But it isn't. Its Super Dimension Cannon is highly deadly and it has thousands of defensive turrets and many thousands more missiles.
 
Yes its in color, =\ Its very old, which is why I'm doubting you'll find more than a few bits and pieces. You can watch some of the more recent series like Macross Frontier (2007-2008), Macross Zero (2002-2004), Macross 7 (1994-1995) or Macross Plus (1994-1995), but only the Macross Plus has this Macross, =\ and its like, stuck in the ground. Macross Zero doesn't even have any Macross variants while Frontier and 7 have variants.
