Physical Damage Detect

I had this same question not that long ago. The easiest way is to give every unit (easiest way is via triggers) a custom orb of corruption ability that does nothing, and lasts for 0.01 seconds. And then all you need to do is detect in your trigger if the damaged unit has the buff and it should be good.

The problem with this is losing your orb effect, but if I was you i'd trigger the orbs anyway because they can tend to get buggy.
