You are playing the single player campaign, right? I know it's "Chasing Vision" chapter.
Also, I suspect that you have a graphical issue with your game, given the darker screen problem you encountered. I'm not sure if this is quite related to the video driver, but we all knew that 2.0.1 completely messed up everything.
