no offence....

but this terrain looks like there was almost no effort put into it. Here is why :

1) NO height variation at ALL. very flat.
2) MONO tilesets.... everything is just one tileset. it looks horribly plain.
3) there are no doodad variation. just a shitload of trees and 1 or 2 rocks....not that good.

The only good picture was the one with the town...which isn't all that good, but if i were to compare them all...

But yes i know its your first project, but please do yourself and everyone a favor, and dont release a poorly made map to the public, untill your terrain is better.

thanks for the tips, but we want to make a bigger orpg with more islands like barrens, a ice island... its hard because i use Jass NewGen Pack and i only can use like 8 Tileset's.
is there a another program who can make more tileset's? :p

if you have the NewJen package, then you should also have UMSWE with it.

Go to the UMSWE drag down menu, then go to "edit tileset " and you should be able to add more tiles. For the best tile variation just use tiles that have take up 1 slot instead of 2 slots. that way u can have up to about 14 -16 tiles.

Ouch! I would watch your words, it isn't nice. At least you gave him some tips, i don't have anything else in mind that Tdhx didn't say.
