Orders executed when dying

This observation may be odd, but I discovered an annoying occurence. Just before the units die, they apparently execute some orders. The order that they surely execute seems stop, but there are also others, for example undefend, if the unit has defend ability. Can anyone tell me what kind of orders are usually executed by a unit, which is about to die?

Basically I'd like to make that unit which died, gets ressurected and continues where it has left off. This way I must remember the order and target using hashtables. However ofcourse, if the player (or comp) order it to stop before, the unit doesn't continue its path.
