If you use Firefox, you can use the Smiley Xtra extension.

Btw, I can't find any options to use the built-in smilies and couldn't find an option to activate the add smiley function.

When our emoticon manager recently upgraded the Hive's options he left most of our old orcs intact. I hope he will someday restore the "orc grin" (the smiley with the rotating horns).
