What would be the recommended strategy for making a dummy spell for an ability that turns on and off?
A while back, I made a Dread Eye unit for my Altered Melee. It was by default invisible, with an inactive slowing aura named "Intimidating Presence". There was an ability you could turn on and off, which enabled and disabled visibility as a method of activating and deactivating its slow aura.
When I tested it in single player against creep, it worked. As soon as I tested it in multiplayer with my older brother though, the game Fataled as soon as I caught him creeping and decided to reveal my Dread Eye to screw up his creeping. I figured it had something to do with using non-permanent Immolation's on/off as a dummy spell in conjunction with triggers to grant and remove the UD shade's Ghost ability. Any possible explanations for the Fatal would be nice. I've since already deleted the Dread Eye and all related abilities and triggers, but I still mostly remember how it worked, and I might be able to find the Dread Eye lingering in an older save version.
