I haven't partaken in this thread for years, so here's an update:

'It Might Be' by Emptiness; current track that usual ends up on repeat.

'The Revenant King' by Visigoth; I still await the sophomore album, most likely my most played album since Dawns 'Slaughtersun' or Mörk Grynings 'Tusen år har gått...'. This specific video is 100% camp and nerdy glory, "dan ouda dan".

Cool. I haven't heard about Emptiness. Season of Mist has some nice bands under their label.

God, over the years I've started to hate heavy metal music videos. They all take place in some kind of a forest with the actors clad into medieval garments and with some kind of a vague story no one cares about going on in the background.

It isn't really better when they're playing with unplugged instruments in some ruins while making a grim face.

Early material is more in the vain of death metal with some black sprinkled over it and the new material - since 'Nothing but the Whole' - is some kind of pop-metal. I do really enjoy the new material though, feels just as odd as Lifelover and similar bands did in the beginning.

Nagelfar's 'Hünegrab im Herbst' is - without doubt - one of those "hidden gems". If this is to your liking, check out Waldgeflüster. Quite similar and if you're in dire need of a Nagelfar fix, they should suffice; here's an example.

For something completely different, here's an exert from the latest Chastain album. Killer track, reminds me a lot of early Primal Fear.

Although I love that movie and Joe Hisaishi is generally praised for his works, I still wish some of his pieces sounded less western influenced than they are.
It's true, however, their western style is more of an improvisation into their own.
