Oblivion Siege
Reviewer's Description: The forces of evil are invading through from the other realms and into Cyrodill through the oblivion gates. In this confrontation based on the Epic Oblivion RPG for the PC,360 and Ps3, two teams of hereos fight in an AoS type of tug of war. The good must keep Martin Septim, rular of Cyrodill alive for 30 minutes, and the evil must kill him. (No duh)
The Good
-Sticks very well to Oblivion lore, with accurate characters, Demons, and units from the actual game. ++ Originality +Technicality
-Both the Good and Evil spawns are well balanced. And would no doubt fight endlessly without the help of players. ++ Technicality
-It's a fun and unique twist to the AoS genre. + Fun factor +Originality
The Bad
-Alot of the spells are warcraft III ones with changed Icons and names. - Originality -- Fun Factor
-Spells lack appropriate descriptions and hot keys. - Technicality
-Hereos are un-balanced. Some are clearly stronger than others. -- Technicality - Fun factor
The UGLY
-Hereos and spells are just plain BORING. --- Fun Factor
-Spawns should be stronger, rather than larger in quanitity. - Technicality
-Bonus:
(1=Unapprovable.)
(2=Bad)
(3=Average)
(4=Great)
(5=Excellent!)
Final Verdict:
2.8/5 Decent
Oblivion is awesome. Oblivion lore is awesome. This game, is not. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this game infact this game is not bad. But it's just not good either. The spells and hereos are utterly unbalanced and boring, Warcraft III spells with different names and icons. Armour is WAY WAY too cheap and needs to atleast triple in price. On the plus side, both sides spawns are completly different yet balanced. There is a perfect amount of defense on the city, just enough to keep them away from Martin untill there is 5 minutes left. And then it gets pretty fun and hectic. What i really like here is the city, it is so well placed and accurate to Oblivion. I've played oblivion, and Burma's placement is almost identicle. Heck you even put Blades on the Holy temple.
This map is fun the first time around. But you'll get pretty pissed when you find out the enemy has a hero much superior to yours.
Eh, its all good fun, for one game atleast.
