Object limit

I think he means the limit of objects you can place in your map from the start. And no I don't think is any way to increase it.
I have just checked it (just to be sure) and you can place more than 512 objects... (if those are units)
In fact, according to the Object Manager there is no limit... (if they are doodads, there's a max of about 15000)

And if this is really what he meant: place some units with triggers?

Hmm, units are unlimited and you are right about the other numbers.
OP, are you by chance using WEU? It's a bad program.

(And there is no such thing as a object limit of 512.
