Open object editor: find the bar displaying icons (it's just above the terrain, you won't miss it) and click on the helm-like icon. We will start from the unit editor becouse it's simplest and easiest to explain. It's open by default.
Well, i'ill start off the text, because it's fairly the simplest thing in object editor (and because i'm using WEU)

Caster Upgrade Names - Have u noticed that priest, for example, have some ui where should be Primary Attribute if he was hero? It means research level, called "Rank". There are multiple research levels, for example "Initiate", being the default and "Master", being the greatest research level. For where should be "initiate" (the first string), it means it will be its default, for "Adept" there is secound string, and so on. You can add the number you like but must setup researches, which i'ill explain later in toturial.
Caster Upgrade Tips - Here you write the abilities he has for each research level. For default level, "initiate", he only has heal "- Heal", for first level, "Adept" he has "- Heal|n- Dispel Magic". Note that, for each level added you must write all previous values before adding a new one. You should'n do so only if you made trigger that disabled all previous abilities, but that's advanced for now. Note that this doesn't affect abilities itself, it just changes tooltips when you point to "Rank" icon.
Discription - This is what you see in WE, but not in game. I think it's only used by buildings. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Hotkey - When you go to the build menu, and get your mouse over a building, you will see all the text being white except ONE letter. That's the hotkey. When you press that letter on keyboard, you will have to choose the location where to build. It's important to be different than other hotkeys for buildings one unit has to build.
Name - Name of a unit. It will be displayed when you sellect unit, just above the portrait, and is used in WE before the tooltip thet writes unit's description (i don't mean of description field in Unit editor, that one's useless). Also used in triggers to help find unit type you want (Footman is better and easier than "hfoo").
Name - Editor Suffix - Showed only in editor. Example: Siege Machine (Barrage). Have you ever seen that "(barrage)" exists in the game? Surely not. But it's helpfull when you create number of units that have same icon, model, tooltip, stats... but have defferent Suffixes, which doesn't effect them in game.
Tooltip - Basic - Used When you need to train a unit, build a structure... Ussualy contains: "Train, Summon, Build, Hire" and so on. Example: Train |cffffcc00F|rootman. Many of you won't even recognize the unit name from tooltip if they look it this way. Like you see from example, that one is only used in WE. Yet there is another one, converted from the example that will write: Train Footman. Here you see a Color Code wich begins with "|" and finishes with "|r". The text between these two is COLORED. Now you find uot that it doesnt matter what hotkey is, you will have to set this up to the hotkey you want. For example: you Footman hotkey is occupied by another unit. What to do? Change the hotkey of course. But it will still write "Train Footman". If you set hotkey to o and want "o" to bi highlighted, you should cut "|cffffcc00" and paste it just before "o". It will look like this: "Train F|r|cffffcc00ootman". You should know that "|r" is ending the color code so you should cut "|r" and paste it after "o". Here is how it will look in WE: "Train F|cffffcc00o|rotman" and in game: "Train Footman|
Tooltip - Extended - This is text you see below the Tooltip - Basic, and is quite the same thing, yet it comes after. Here you area able to write something about your unit, for example is it a warior or a spellcaster, what abilities it has etc.
