From the looks of the galaxy editor, it seems that you are able to use up to 16 players. In the player properties section, you have a choice of player 0-15, 16 players in total with the ability to change the player type of the neutrals to a user. This is based on look however, for the choices may be locked. However, it is good to know players are able to use up to 16 players, being greater than the original warcraft 3 12.
