NOVEL OF WAR: THE MIGRATION

Novel of War: The Migration is an Altered Melee map that is aiming to show the amount of strategic diversity that can be shown in Warcraft 3 without the usage of triggers(JASS, vJASS, GUI, etc.). The map will feature 4 races with their own unique capabilities and concepts of playstyle.

The story takes place in a continent called Terranael, a land that is being fought over by migrators who arrived there to find refuge since their original homeland was destroyed by the shadows of war and Terranael's original inhabitants who wants to keep their land free from the migrators...

The Races:

The Kingdom of Humanity
Government Type: Monarchy
Main Leader: Harmann the IV
Population: approx. 60 million
Primary Motive: Preventing the Migration
Advancements: Holy Magic, Technology
Language: Harmannic (Human language always gets renamed into the name of their current king, similar to English)
Playstyle: Adaption

Biography: The Humans are the original inhabitants and the single dominant species of Terranael. When the first migrators, The Viziers had first arrived at Terranael, the Humans approved them due to their nobility, intelligence and a lack of intention for conquest. However, when the second migrators, The Centurions had landed on Terranael in search for Viziers and their destruction, the Humans decided to take an entirely neutral stance and chose to not participate in their conflict in any way, cutting off their diplomatic relations with the Viziers. But the Centurions intentions to take control of the newly discovered land as their own had pulled the Humans into the conflict. Fearing that the conflict will destroy the lands of Terranael to no restoration, now even more fueled by the fact the third migrators, the Ohmus had appeared and started to join the conflict, The Humans had made a motive to return the migrators to where they came from with everything they can do.

The Centurion Empire
Government Type: Imperialism
Main Leader: Warlord Vahrenmelc Vengurstaffel
Population: approx. 40 million
Primary Motive: Conquest of the new continent
Advancements: Fel Magic, Military Strength
Language: Skalren (uses Vizian alphabet, similar to Deutsch)
Playstyle: Brute Force

Biography: Originating from the continent of Karillis along with the Viziers and the extinct Kaamos, the Centurions are brutish, barbaric and would have never been able to unite under a single leader unless an outside force helped them. The Viziers who were the dominant species of Karillis at that time, had pitied the Centurions and feared that their inability to unite might lead to an early extinction. Many teachers from the Viziers had arrived at the Centurion lands, teaching them the concepts science, diplomacy, martial arts and magic. Although the Centurions were a bad union, they were certainly good learners, As they learned everything the Viziers had taught them. However, when the Centurions had finally managed to unite, it became clear that they wish to use their newfound knowledge for conquest and domination. The Centurion army had assaulted it's neighbor races, the Viziers and the Kaamos at the same time. The Kaamos proved no match for the Centurions, and the Emperor of the Centurions ordered their extinction, the Centurions had slaughtered every single Kaamos on Karillis. Fearing they would be next, the Viziers had fled from Karrilis through the sea. Seeking the extinction of the Viziers also, the Centurion Emperor commanded it's entire population to chase after the Viziers. They did know that the Viziers will find a new continent for the Centurions to conquer, but what they didn't know was that something horrifying and deadly was following them...

The Vizier Conclave
Government Type: Democracy
Main Leader: Prophet Morlesque Varenue
Population: approx. 20 million
Primary Motive: Peace
Magical Preference: Spiritual Magic
Language: Vizian (similar to French)

Biography: Viziers are an ancient race from Karillis and quite possibly the most ancient civilization in the history of Karillis. The Viziers, with their ability to innovate and unite, have became the dominant species of Karillis generations ago. The Viziers are experts in all forms of magic, even the dark ones. Including, fel and unholy magic. However, they had preferred spiritual magic above all other magic forms, regarding the spiritual magic as the purest and the least corrupted form of magic. The overall attitude of the Viziers were kind, peace-loving and helpful to the lesser races. But their helpful attitude soon became the end of their generations-long legacy on Karillis. The war against the Centurion was a costly one for the Viziers. The boastful 60 million population of the Viziers were reduced to 20 million from the skirmishes. Realizing that the victor of the war is inevitable unless they flee, the Prophet Morlesque decided to take his people across the seas to the nearest continent available, leading the Viziers to Terranael. Obviously seeking no conflict at a new land, the Viziers decided to hide themselves from the sight of the Humans. However, the secrecy of the Viziers were soon revealed by certain careless civilians. However, instead of declaring war, the Humans welcomed them with great interest. The Viziers had set up a very stable civilization in a short time before the Centurions invaded. The Viziers loved Terranael, they wanted to continue their legacy there. But, the invasion of the Centurions and the betrayal of the Humans had pulled them to the sorrows of war again...

The Legion of Ohmus
Government Type: Psycharchy
Main Leader: Sacsiles Angenur, The Grand Necromancer
Population: Believed to be more than 1 billion
Primary Motive: Revenge from the Centurions
Magical Preference: Unholy Magic
Language: Communication is not required

Biography: The Ohmus are in a way, the "descendants" of the extinct Kaamos. Albeit a gruesome one. When the Centurions led the Kaamos to extinction, the strongest necromancers of Kaamos have managed to escape from their clutches. Seeking revenge for their people, the necromancers used their might to revive every single Kaamos that had fallen against the Centurions into undead. Forming an army of undead counted by millions, the necromancers had led them to against the Centurions in an ambush attack. The Ohmus had destroyed 3 Centurion cities, expanding their army from the fallen cadavers of the Centurions. The Centurion Emperor who had realized the Ohmus will destroy them at this rate, decided to escape the Ohmus while chasing after the Viziers at the same time. But the necromancers wouldn't easily give chase to the Centurions. The necromancers directed the Ohmus to follow the Centurions underground, hidden from their eyes. As an undead requires no air to breathe, the task was rather easy for the Ohmus. The Centurion ships had no idea that an army of corpses were stalking them from the underground, the thought would have been scary to imagine. 3 days after the Centurions landed at Terranael, the Ohmus ambushed them again. Managing to inflict massive casualties again, the Ohmus took themselves back to the sea, waiting to ambush the Centurions again from where they don't know, but this time would be the last...
