This is a team-based action/RPG where you play as members of an ultra-elite secret military unit, fighting terrorists and investigating a facility with dark secrets and the nearby town that turns a blind eye to its diabolical creations.

It's a "main game" mode with different missions, side quests, and endings, but almost identical abilities, items, enemies, etc. If you've ever played any of the recent Resident Evil games, Operatives is like the main game, Mercenaries is like "The Mercenaries" minigame.
