new wc3 editors??

hihi... i'm been reading the forum a bit and the name "NewGen pack" keeps popping up... i noe its a wc3 editor... but what really is it... is it free??? where can i dl it from??? n is there any other wc3 editors which r also gd???

Yes it is free.

It is an extension of the regular wc3 editor to allow you to perform more useful functions, and its UMSWE removes limits, allows you to have up to 16 tiles, and adds a few extra JASS-only functions to GUI. JASSHelper also has really awesome add-ons, but it is probably a little advanced to you as I can tell by reading your post.

The ones in the tools section are outdated. Google up the official thread of those tools and download the latest version. Be sure to read the documentation.

The problem with wc3c is that you need to register to download stuff, which is probably why he's confused.

And emperor_d3st, that comment was unneccessary.

No. This thread was unnecessary. The Hive Workshop tools section is outdated, so someone should either remove the outdated tools or update those tools or just leave a link to their official site / thread, but people SHOULD NOT be told to download some outdated/not working/buggy tool from there.

Most Tools in the archive contain links to their official sites, so I don't think it is wrong to link people to them.

apologies 4 causing this small dispute :s.... i suppose i could goggle every question i had... it would have been tiresome... but possible... but i told with this forum i could get faster and more accurate answers from people with experience and i dun have to sieve through all sorts of inaccurate answers...

reading through this forum has really been a great help to me n i thought i would really want to participate in this forum n perhaps even on day give some small tips to others...
