New model - kudos to those who can identify it at first glance

Well I've been working from scratch on a few new models, with a passing notion that I may use them in a full map but I can hardly believe myself when I say it, as it would be just too much work. But I thought I'd share with THW my latest creation and time sink.. after such a long hiatus.

Samurai Pizza Cats. I attached a screen shot of an earlier quick-and-dirty import job. Fits pretty well with the rest of the WC3 scene, doesn't everyone agree? =P

The model is about 1500 tris, so it's pretty beefy for WC3 but I was kind of building it with the intention of being able to use it in another engine if I had the chance. Anyway it's my first model built from scratch so I'm pretty happy with it. The first youtube video is squished for some reason, might fix it later, dunno, I just uploaded it.

I would not recognize that, but like I said it has been a long time since I have seen SPC
(I was about 8 years then so it is surprising that I can even remember the name of the show )

Haha no I don't blame you. I really loved the show about 8-10 years ago, then I just started getting back into it recently. I've watched a few episodes on youtube. I just figured it's a pretty untapped source of modeling inspiration, all the characters are so cute.

Only problem is that cartoon models don't work in Warcraft (not that they are bugged, but it just doesn't fit with the style) D:
