Hello Guys, My Name is Rafael, I’m a young worker in Venezuela that have a long time playing Warcraft 3.
Polishing my skills as editor, there´s been five years since I don’t edit a map, I lose all my progress on maps that I never upload, projects that never saw light, I lose all my resources, models, textures, spells.
I lose all my skills, I barely remember how to open the map editor and use the tools.
Yesterday I was reading the Warcraft story on a wiki, after many years of don’t playing the game, I felt nostalgic, so I decided to go back to play and edit, regain the experience and start the projects from 0.
my point is that I will start to create new maps to perform a new campaign for humans, High Elf’s, Dwarfs, Gnomes as a broken alliance, also creating a campaign for Blood Elf’s, Night Elf’s, The Horde, The Renegades and the Undead in a fictitious expansion of the game but with bases of the original story, maybe bring some WoW History to Warcraft 3 TFT in the form of a strategy game instead of a role-playing game.
In my first projects, I had 3 that stood out for grabbing my attention more than the others.
The first project was the base map to make all the maps of a campaign, with new models added, new units, new powers, new heroes, my goal was to have a blank map that could be molded easily for the creation of a new environment For the story I just taught, a map that had already advanced but lost when my computer exploded (not literally).
The second project was the base map to shape and create a command & conquer style campaign with modern units, be they tanks, helicopters, airplanes, modern infantry, map also advanced since it had already incorporated many of the models and configured the functionalities of the units But I also lost it.
The third project was the most advanced I had, as I tried frequently in a cyber-coffee, this map was a MOBA of the Undead vs. Humans, in this breakthrough, I managed to create 4 of 20 heroes, which were the ones we tried frequently, I Created 3 lines and set them correctly so that human and Undead minions constantly Spawn and Re-Spawn in the lines with the exact DotA or LoL towers defense system, the human objective was to defeat the Lich King and the undead were to defeat the human king Or their leader with the support of heroes controlled by players. I thought this map for a 3vs3 or a 5vs5.
In the third project, the most extensive, I added many units with new models, infantry and archers for both sides, as well as adding elite units and siege units that appeared only if certain requirements were met in the game, for example, if the undead destroyed All the towers of the humans, the undead will deploy stronger troops, upon reaching the human base humans deployed elite troops to defend the king surroundings, if the attack of the undead was repelled with success, a last battalion of humans launches all the way to the territory of the undead, with elite troops and heavy siege, this gave a last chance to the human side to return to the situation and try to reach undead territory to kill the Lich King and win The game, the same situation happened if humans destroyed all the towers of the undead.
These were my biggest projects that never got uploaded to Hive, so I publish this post, to know your opinion about the creation of this campaign, I want to do it well, if possible give voice to the characters during the cinematics and also to the New units that I added, as well as in the future to resume the MOBA projects and the modern strategy campaign.
I don’t know if someone has already created a campaign with the same idea that I present today, but I will do it because I like it and also because I want to share it with the community to enjoy my creation.
My vision is to create campaigns that give us a gameplay almost like the original of Warcraft but in XXXL with many things added, new heroes, new units and bigger battles that give us more than what the original game already gave us.
