Need information on Terrain

Okay, you place this plot of land right? and now you have all this water around you. How in the world do you lower the land into the water area so that it would look like a beach?

Don't put that plot of land. Just raise the terrain (on water). You should use shallow water in region you would like have the beach.

Okay, got that thanks. How would you level the land out then? making it flat and still have a nice beach.
