Need Help with Dead Space (PC)

I'm on chapter 4. At the place where you use a cannon to blast meteors. HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO DO THAT?! It's impossible. Is there a tip to make it easier?

Use one cannon at the time. Shoot both only at the big ones. That way it won't heat up.
