need help with convertion

I have a tool that will turn a .3ds into a MDX file but is there one that turns a MDX into a .3ds file :?:

I have downloaded the convertion tool but when I try to convert if said there was an error. I redownloaded it and everything but it will not convert eny other ideas?

Make sure all the files in it is extracted. Try putting all the files to somewhere else. Make sure no open programs are using the model somehow.

Thanks I got it to work it just will not convert the main files I probably still messing it up but I think I can figure it out from here so thanks for taking the time to help me.
