I have a terrain here i was thinking was a good idea but it doesn't look so good, can i get your opinion on it? it's no where close to finished but i was wondering what i should do with it......
Having a title like "My not so good terrain" doesn't really give much incentive to help either >.>
That said, I don't really get my fellow two terrainers here, considering the idea is quite.... Nice, as far as I am concerned, it's just that this terrain needs some help.
For starters, always hit "V" when taking a screenshot, this will set the editor to "Game View" which will make the fog and sky apparent. That said, you got to work on that fog when adding it, that's done in the Map Editor section of the editor, you'll find it. Some mountains in the background would also be nice, as well as the usage of more custom doodads, which you can learn all about in this thread: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/...e-terraining-hives-terraining-section-184427/

If I am to be frank, I don't honestly 'get' the idea.
A kid observing a worgen placed on a cliff surrounded by fire and trees just seems bizarre to me, and not in a good way.
But then again, who am I to criticize bizarre ideas?
With some terraining techniques I suppose it could look more appealing, thus automatically strenghtening the idea itself.
Agreed with fladdermasken and lets all remember that we once started like this (even though some were borned to be a pro xD) o and about the terrain its a nice idea but perhaps following some terrain tutorials could help you improve.
Even for a rookie, this is a quickie. Anybody can do this terrain in 2-3 mins or even less.
But yeah, maybe I was a little harsh, he can be a 13\15 yr. youngster who just discovered the wc3 world editor!
