My first serious terrain

I was going to post a request about a terrainer for my project, but since many people do it i decided to try it myself.Here is what i came up with these paricular screenshots are from the part of the map named "The watchtowers" and i think its preety good. But im not the pro and there are many people better than me that can tell me what to add or take out.

That way to upload pictures is annoying and to be honest I won't bother look at those pictures before you attach them to your post.

Maybe he doesnt know how? I have had trouble figuring out and I still don't understand thumbnails and attaching so yeah..... maybe he needs someone to explain them. For now, just put them on imageshack and post the pictures or put links ot them.

Use microsoft powerpoint to convert them to .jpeg

the terrains are pretty crappy. probably because I've seen amazing terraining right here on the hive. ^_^ practice practice pratice!

that terrain matches bad roc orpg. What you really need to do is to:

1.add fog
2.add wheater effect
3.fill up empty areas
4.DONT use cliffs
5.Place things more logically (that bridge is on dry land)
6.Dont use the biggest brush u got to place trees

i wasnt awful, i just said what i thought

but you will need MUCH practice to become a good terrainer.
and my first terrains were even worse than that ^^
so.. hope you improve

well the thing is that he did it on a large scale so gotta give him some credit...

the map itself is actually fairly small. Its very basic and you ahve too many sharp angles in the terrain that need to be smoothed

1-add terrain variation.
2-never use cliff to create a river.
3-add more rocks and plants.
