[Defense / Survival] My first (major) project...

So i came up with the ideea a couple of weeks ago (not that original i know) to make a zombie town survival thingy... The map is still in early alpha (i think) so most things are not completed or started (like zombie types, all building types, triggers and so on).... I used the Ultimate Terrain map thingy to build the terrain. Custom pathing map for most of the doodads are made by me. No credits have been accorded yet since the map is still under construction.

I hope i can get some intel on the terrain,triggers, maybe enemy types... I don't know... Looking forward to your reviews. DO YOUR WORST !

Ive tested your map and here's my opinion:

Good things:
Terrain looks nice
Map has potential


Things that could use change:
More types of zombies
Various Hero classes


Things that need change:
There's a tree stuck in the building to the northwest of the central town hall building


There's not a lot else to comment on so far as the map is still in early development. I have only taken a quick look at the terrain so there may be some more stuff that needs fixing.

Here's some suggestions for zombie types (for up to 40 waves of zombies)

Regular zombie:basically a normal zombie
health-low
speed-slow
attack-average
special-none
model-zombie
appearance- round 1+

Sprinter zombie:a fast zombie.
health-very low
speed-fast
attack-low(fast attackspeed)
special-moves very fast if hurt
model-ghoul
appearance- round 3+

Zombie wolf: a zombiefied wolf.
health-low
speed-average
attack-high
special-targets attacked are infested. Their movement and attack speeds are slowed and when they die, they spawn Parasites.

Shield zombie: a zombie of a knight, with a broken, but still usable shield.

special-has a shield that blocks all attacks from the front(to harm the zombie, use magic or attack from the sides, rear or from above)

Hmm wasn't expecting such a possitive review :)

Ok so a friend told me to add multiple heroes from with to chose. Like class hunter/mage etc. What do you think about that ?

Ok so i finished the terrain and added some types of zombies: Regular,Fast,Wolf,Shield.

The shield zombie didn't work out as i expected i guess i would have to request that model.

Can you tell me if the zombie stats are allright ? I mean i don't want too big of a number for the hp/dmg/armor/attackspeed/ms values.

You can use the
iseedeadpeople
to see all the types at each of the entrances and afterwards type in
in the chat to see them "perform" in combat.

You could add all the classes from WoW (excluding Death Knight, that would be ironic), and give them all fancy abilities from WoW.

Really, bro? Really? He actually has a good chance of finishing a map, and you suggest making something so massive it is not fu*king possible!?

Girl Stalk3r, first thing: what's with the creepy name?
Secondly, I think you might wanna use this model. It has a variety of animations and is great for all shooting maps, and I am sure you could come up with skills to fit him.

This project looks damn good for a starter. The terrain looks ok but I would suggest some more environmental dodads such as tocks which should always be in the part of nature. Also, the the fog for me looks good and resembles a plague or something so maybe for the name of the map: I would suggest either... "The Plague Arises" or "Rise of Terror".

And for my zombie suggestions (based from L4D2 concept):


Zombie
-Easy
-a normal zombie with decent attack, armor and movespeed.

Risen Pack
-Normal
-Zombies that comes in a group. THey would be dangerous to engage when you are alone!

Zombie of the Plague
-Hard
-Zombies with low attacks but poisons the enemy, low armor but poisons the attacking unit and poisons enemy that made contact with it(applies to melee enemies only). This zombies would be hard to engage when you are a melee unit and when it gets near you!


More ideas coming :D For now, have my +4 REP for this interesting project of yours!

Oh, thanks, if you want to contribute to this project il pm you the latest version and you can work on whatever you think would be best to improve, like the enviroment if you will.
