I'd like to know how to mute all sound for a few seconds in game. As far as I can tell, setting the volume for each channel to 0 does nothing.

I know this is definitely possible somehow because Dota's Silencer does it with his Global Silence ability.


Edit: with a bunch of testing I solved the problem. Setting the volume for each channel to 0 will work. The problem is that if cinematic mode is then turned on (which happened in my trigger), the volume channels are reset
