Hi, I want to make a warcraft 3 mod through mpq editing (replacing things). Can someone give me a link to a tutorial or help me? Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks but that wasn't what I was looking for. I meant how you make your warcraft 3 mod through mpq editing like Tales of Ravignon (or whatever how you call it) did.
, so when I want to replace ShadowStrike.mdx with fireballX.mdx, I import the fireballX.mdx and place it under Abilities->Spells->NightElf->shadowstrike and rename it to ShadowStrike.mdx? Also, which MPQ do I need to edit (Patchmpq, War3x.mpq...)?

After you import a model for example you have its path set to "war3imported/<imported model>" .. if you want to insert it and replace a model you just need to modify it for example to "units\human\Peasant\Peasant" and you will replace the peasant model with your model

, you mean in the import editor? If yes, I think we misunderstand each other, cause I mean not editing through World Editor but through mpq openers (like MPQ Master).

There are tons of them floating around, using them to extract things or find the paths or things (I think) should be okay, but using them to change or remove things violates the EULA.
