Hello,

New to these forums, and I'm not quite sure where this thread belongs, so please move it to the appropriate forum if need-be.

Anyway, I have a simple question regarding the MPQ Editor and importing an asset (in this case SC2 asset) into 3dsmax. I've followed the instructions needed, and have come to the point where I import the model into 3dsmax. However, it appears that the model is distorted (I should add that I'm new to 3dsmax as well).

Is there anyone that might have an idea as to why this happens? Any help would be appreciated :)

Thank you.

Possible a bug in the import script. The way it is distorted looks like some verticies not being positioned properly. Most of the model has imported fine except that one part by the look of things.

I advise contacting the script author as it may be a bug that needs fixing.

Check if it is only this model, perhapse the Lurker just is distorted interally and animations fix it.

Thanks for the replies.

Hm, it does appear that it has something to do with the import script. I downloaded an older version of M3-import and the model was yet again distorted, but this time differently.

The M3-importer I have is currently the latest one (Jul 09 2010). So I guess I'll have to find an M3-import version that isn't bugged?

edit: I've imported other models, and they too become distorted, so it's not just limited to the Lurker.

Ah, alright that might explain it. I am using 3dsmax 2013 (I was told that it *should* work on 2013), but I'll give 2010 a shot.
