movement system

can i request some system that matches the wow movement system( press q to go to the left, e for right and so on)
is someone capable of doing this?

It is possible via activating spells through a hotkey, but it won't be that smooth, compared to the event using Arrow Keys.

Ya it is better to do it the opposite of WOW, have arrow keys for movement (right hand) and letter keys for abilities (left hand).

Sadly you can only use arrow keys because there is no support for obtaining the other keys (only the arrow keys, spacebar and ESC has events)...

defskull's suggestion won't actually work... why? because you need to move while the key is pressed and stop when released right? using spells, you can only detect key press but not the unpress...

Ya it wouldn't be possible to achieve a real time movement with the abilities, but it's not bad for turned based systems.

it can be smooth actually, but you cannot detect key unpress... so it could be smooth, but only 50% working...

anyway, I think there's no point in talking about it now... XD...

any one of you know about the blizzard map azeroth grand prix? it uses the same movement system as of wow to control its racers..

so no one said about arrow keys since your post was asking for using keys like q,e etc...

anyway, there are lots of arrow key systems out here, use the search button at the spells section...
