More than 5 hero abilities in WE?

So I got an idea where you level up and enter the level up tab down in the right corner. And instead of picking from 4 abilities, you instead pick between 8 abilities, and picking one of them makes another obsolete (Remove it from the hero with triggers). So you end up with 4 abilities in the end, but you have more choices when leveling up.

But the map editor only allows 5 abilities max for every hero.... Any other way to do this? Anyone done this with triggers or something?

Thanks in advance

I once saw in a map a system that uses 'level tiers' abilities instead of hero abilities:

Once you level up, you can level up, for example, your Tier 1 Ability (Q).
If you learn it the first time, you choose between different, let's say four abilities at another unit. This ability becomes your hero ability and the others are disabled. If you level up again, your chosen ability is levelled up if you learn Tier 1 again with your hero.
This way, you can have the choice between more than four abilities; your default hero ability menu uses tiers that allows you to level up a spell, but the spell itself is not chosen at the hero.

Another method is to create an invisible "shop" unit.

Remove "standard" hero abilities entirely. Replace the hero ability button with an ability.
When this ability is clicked, the invisible shop unit is selected for the player, and items or units corresponding with the various abilities are added to the shop.
When one of these items or units gets sold, it is immediately removed and the corresponding ability is added/leveled for the hero.

Another advantage of this method is that you can change the cost of learning an ability - have it cost multiple hero ability points, or lumber or whatever.
