Shaynne listen to yourself: "perfect long range shotgun" - just mention that AA12 has 300 meters killing range in real life so what? Should they add the range to it?

Seconded.

Seconded.
I hear the new percs are kinda lame, like a nuke when you kill 25 in a row? And the guns aren't balanced at all.
You forgot the fact that like a million consol people will buy the game and not care a shit about this move. Also you forgot the fact that 50-60%+ of those people who said they would boycot the game will probably end up buying it as words mean nothing. So this will have no affect on their profits at all.
Also peer to peer is not at all bad for playing, it filters out everyone incapable of configuring their router to host (so generally people are smarter) and also can have lower latencies than server games due to the fact that orders are not double delayed (once to you and then once to everyone). Ofcourse you are then forced to not play on dialup, but who does anymore in the firstplace.
No one complains about killstreaks because of a simple fact. No noobtuber (without ADS skills), knifer (their scores generally suck, really) or a shotgunner (no possible way of getting 25 kills in a row only with shotties).I agree that there are some cheap ways of getting kills in the new Call of Duty. Grenade Launchers, dual-wielding shotguns, and the Commando perk are three examples of what usually pisses players off due to being an easy/cheap way of getting kills. As for killstreaks, no one really complains about them. The nuke is certainly a quick way to win, but no one complains because not many can achieve it easily and those who do get it usually deserve it... 25 killstreaks don't come often!
No idea what Brink is. Checking the link now.
[EDIT]
Wow! No clue how I never stumbled across this game before, but it already looks like one of those FPS games that will keep me addicted for a while.
I almost got a 25 killstreak by sprinting around the map (Marathon pro and Lightweight Pro perks) and stabbing/akimbo shotgunning people down. (Also had Commando Pro)
Was fun as hell. Got a 21 killstreak I think doing that.
Its really annoying trying to snipe and getting a headshot hitmarker. The other person runs for cover, pulls out the ACR Assault Sniper-rifle, and unloads across the map on you. Thats without the range boosting thermal scope either.
Flaws pointed out on the MW2 forums:
Assault sniper rifles
sonic the hedgehog care package runners (its acually pretty fun)
Nuke boosters
Useless killstreaks
Stupid perks
1887 long shots (Fixed for Akimbo'd, not for bling'd)
Recoil-less Assault rifles
Headshot hitmarkers.
Cammando's temp invulnerablity when lunging
Huge knife radius
Halo sword-knife lunging
Many, many more. And thats just gameplay
IW fail'd
Zomg, here comes another one of my epically long posts and maybe just the epically short ones.
Assault Sniper Rifles: Aren't very clear about that either you're saying it's very accurate or people are pulling intervention shots from the ACR which is btw, a promotion using your key code to unlock the really strange guns like the ACR Sniper or Mini-Uzi Sniper.
Sonic the Hedgehog Care Package Running: Rob Bowling said their working on it, but it's not one of the "serious" issues that are going around. Next patch is coming out. And this IS a ban able glitch.
Nuke Boosters: WTF are you talking about?
Useless Killstreaks: Lets see here...
In the end, if you know how to use it, then they're all very useful. Suggestion, if the opposing team can get AC130s or any other very gay killstreak that is hard to take down, then save a predator. If you're lucky, you can use the predator to hit the AC130, otherwise hit the Pave Low, Harrier, Attack Helicopter, Chopper Gunner, Stealth Bomber, Care Package's little bird, and even a sentry turret. No killstreak is useless.
- UAV: See where the enemies are
- Counter UAV: Doesn't allow the enemy to see where you are. Unless they have heartbeat.
- Care Package: You get a random killstreak except Tactical Nuke, Emergency Airdrop, and another Care Package.
- Sentry Gun: Only good for covering a wide area say CTF flag, Domination Flag, Demolition bombsite, Search and Destroy bombsite.
- Predator Missile: Can be a person UAV with a big radius, even bigger with Danger Close/Pro. Kills at least 2 people if you're good with it.
- Attack Helicopter: Identical to the one in Call of Duty 4. Not as effective as the Harrier because the Harrier has the initial bombing and the harrier can take down Chopper Gunners, Attack Helicopters, Pave Lows, and other Harriers
- Precision Airstrike: Identical to the Call of Duty 4 airstrike. If you're good with it then fine. If not, then don't use it.
- Harrier Strike: 2 initial cluster bombings then the harrier itself. Easier to shoot down but can take down other killstreaks.
- Care Package: 4 Care Packages clustered into one. Except you can't get another Emergency Airdrop, Care Package, Tactical Nuke, or the EMP.
- Pave Low: Heavily armed and defended aircraft. 2 FMJ turrets on each side. Can be shot down easily by Harrier/missile/or rarely the Attack Helicopter.
- Stealth Bomber: Carpets the area with bombs from point A to point B of the edges of the map intersecting where you selected.
- AC130: 20 second long gunship that has 3 cannons. If you use only the big one, you're a noob. The big cannon can penetrate some surfaces. 3 flares and restocks 1 flare per 10 seconds.
- Chopper Gunner: Helicopter that has you controlling the gun. It hovers over the map to get you a better shot at the enemies. 1 flare that doesn't restock and can be taken down virtually by anything from the predator to the harrier.
- EMP: If the opposing team has all their killstreaks in the air, useful. If the oppsing team depends on heartbeat, thermal, red dot sight, uav, hud, very useful. Otherwise, virtually useless.
- Tactical Nuke: 'nuff said.
Stupid Perks: The only perks I can think of that are stupid is Sitrep and maybe One Man Army. All the others are because either you suck, they hacked, or you just have crap lag.
1887 Longshots: Yes they fixed the akimbo but if it still has problem with bling, then tell that to IW. They will listen to you.
Recoil-less Assault Rifle: Everyone thinks every gun has no recoil... No. When a person thinks of a gun, they think the recoil sends the front part of the barrel up. Well you're partially wrong...
3 mains types of recoil:
Headshot Hitmarkers: What are you talking about?
- Up: The barrel of the gun goes up. Like the AK-47.
- Left/Right: Where the barrel doesn't just go up, it goes left and right. Like the MP5K.
- Back: Yes people, there are guns that have recoil that goes backwards. Take for example, the recoil of the Barrett M82 is redirected backwards but because the recoil is just so powerful, it also goes left/right. The ACR and the M4 both have back recoil. Next time, watch the killcam. You'll understand.
Commando's temp invulnerability while lunging: You're lagging. and the knife takes less than half a second. In that half a second if you weren't lagging, you can kill him. Also, you probably panicked and didn't aim and sprayed.
Huge Knife Radius: Once again, you lag.

having it very equal on every platform
pff console fps sucks
so they must suck to be equal
ITT: casual game is for casuals.
actually, console shooters are SIGNIFICANTLY slower paced than PC shooters. If you compare MW2 PC to MW2 360, youll notice that in PC you move MUCH faster. This is to compensate for the fact you react quicker with the mouse than the controller.
Theyve also patched the 1887 Bling Akimbo/FMJ glitch.
One Man Army is NOT a useless perk. Infact, its on the most useful imo. Its essentially free ammo. I've seen a friend get a tactical nuke by just an M4A1 + OMA and Claymores. he would plant claymore all over the place since he could refill his ammo with OMA.
