Hello guys, I have this little problem that has been getting bigger and bigger the longer it remains unresolved. To my dismay, all my tinkering hasn't resolved much. Hopefully someone out there can identify with this...

I'm importing a custom model, which usually is no problem. But this model is never able to be selected in game. I am clearly clicking on the model, but it's like I'm clicking on thin air. The only way to select it is to drag a selection rectangle over it, and then it is selected. So I know at least it's possible. The problem is though some gameplay demands easy selection. Imagine trying to give an item to this unit. You'd be dropping it on the ground nearby it for days, maybe even indefinitely.

So I got to take a stand, I got to fix this thing. How is it exactly that units are selected? Is it clicking anywhere on the visible model (which is what I thought, but then was proven wrong by this touble maker) ? Or is it something you can make easier by teaking things in magos (like nodes or verticies or something) ?

Basically I just want to make it easy to select it, and I think I have to edit the model file itself, which is no problem, I think I have the tools to do it. I just don't know where to start. I never had this problem before.

Thanks for reading!

whoa, i never came across these sphere things. Thanks a bunch for sharing man. seems like its not something magos handles. Or maybe it does, but its hidden away somewhere, because I've been using magos for years just for scaling, rotating, changing used textures and the sort, but like I said, I never came across the click spheres.

For all you modelers then, is there a protocol for remedying this?

Sweet, you're the dude who helped me with the inventory question! I got my answer to this too, I just extended the bounds on the collision sphere, and boom, its solved!

Thanks again! +rep
