get wc3viewer, extract a skin, draw on it (a skin isnt a drawing, its a flat wrap skin texture or watever its called) save, import to wc3, paste is path the model uses done.

If you want to make a custom on that involves actually get a model on to the flat part, thats called unwrapping.

Which are you refering to? Skinning the unwrap for a model or making an unwrap for a model?

I've been over this countless times: stop referring to TEXTURING as SKINNING. They are 2 totally different terms. But 'guess now everyone got used to "skinning" and using the term wrong. It's like saying vagina instead of vulva (sorry, but I found this example most apropiate). Who the heck called texturing "skinning" for wc3 in the first place?

Yes, if its skinning you are putting the "skin" on the body using textures, regardless of what the "body" may be. But yeah, if you want to edit a skin for a model that is already in game, then follow Werewulf's instructions. If you want to create a skin for your custom model then look up UVwrapping.

Well i have both, and im poor too.

Simply apply a material by going in the material section(load one up, whether it is blank or not, if its a fresh unwrap, use a completly black picture), then select a group, go back to the material tab and apply it, then select a face and go up to the top menu (near the end) and go to the unwrap editor and unwrap there.

When you have done , open the unwrap veiwer/editor then screenshot, cnp that into your art program and draw in the lines, when you have done that apply that to the material editor and walaa!

although, im not a..like..smart so TDR or someone else will most likely whoop my ass cuz im sure im wrong somewhere..

sozz, im trying to remember this off my head.
