model editor help, please.

i am using Model Editor 3 to change different units and stuff, just messing around, but i can never save any of them, it always says "Unknown file extension" on a .MDX file, i dont know what to do



can anybody tell me of a free model creator that i can make models from scratch? i tried the milk editor but i cant save because im not registered, and im not paying for something i dont truly need.

The Milk Editor, Model Editor 3? Where are you getting these names from. Milkshape, Blender, Maya, or 3D Studio Max are the closest to getting scratch modeling. Milkshape and 3D Studio Max are expensive though, fairly. Blender is free but is less proffession and a bit more complicated.

LOL Maya FREE?! it cost even more than 3dsmax. It costs between 10,000$-30,000$ (I don't remenber which, but it passed the 10,000s).

anyways use Blender if you want a free 3d modelling software. Look for warblender in the thread called "Warcraft modellers: a must have", and download blender as well (use google)

Ya Maya I wasn't sure about. It's the only one I haven't really seen pictures of and such. Anyways, nothing at the Hive can do any 'purely' scratch modeling stuff.
