ok my question is it possible to make a model in milkshape and some how get it into Wc3? would i need the art tools? if it is possible could someone supply me with a brief summery how to do it. thanks

I use milkshape to animate my models.
You can model in milkshape to create wc3 stuff.
heres the exporter (milkshape has built in importer, doesnt import anims)

and as for tuts on modeling and anims, just use google. Im sure you will find alot.
NOTE: before you animate (but have created a bone/rig) run the zero joints plugin or your anims will be screwed.

oh, PS, the Art Tools are for 3DSMax 5, they serve absolutely no purpose otherwise, unless you happen to have Version 5 of 3DSMax.

3DSMAX costs money. is there anyway a 3D program named Rhino will work with wc3?

What are you talking about? I KNOW that 3DSMax costs money. I have it. But I was pointing out the Uselessness of Art Tools to this guy cuz he brought it up earlier. I meant that Art Tools only work for 3DSMax 5, not any other version, so your boned if you don't have it, and its very hard to find now adays. Regardless: Just get bloody milkshape, or get Gmax. Milkshape is under 50 bucks, and Gmax is totally free. Don't bother with your crappy programs no one has heard of, because it probably wont support WC3.

Im trying to buy max, but i need to wait iuntil i get my bank account crap set up and when i get some money.
its cost 20euro/20usa.
Gmax is free, but its exporter is horribly bugged and hard to work with.
Milkshape has a much friendly interface cuz gmax is far more broad and made for a large range of game model designs.
But animating in milkshape is simply and rigging..well..sorta..very frustrating for me cuz i tend to screw something up.
Sozz if this is hard to read, gotta rush this.
