for some reason when i try to edit a medic i cant change the stats, whenever i change something it says thats the value, but when i use it in the game it is just back to it original value, and yes i am sure im using the correct unit.

Make sure the unit wasn't placed on the map before you made the change, otherwise just delete it and put in another medic.

no, i dont think thats the problem cause i reduced the amount of minerals and supply it costs so i can make it from the barracks, but it still costs 1 supply after i changed it to 0, and still costs 50 minerals when i changed it to 45

Those costs are controlled by the Train ability on the barracks, you have to modify its Info+ field to change the costs and build times of units.
