You really should try this out. It is meant for education for the students in the developing countries. This piece of software is so amazing!

You should also try Maple 11. I use it and it's GREAT. It allows you to do sooooo many things, plotting 2D/3D graphs, massing integration/differentiation, solving, algebra, matrices and the list goes on and on!

I just used LaTeX for my formulas, since it's powerful and easy and looks like code. P)

It's not like you really need this stuff to solve anything (Other than plot graphs) anyways, though, and I just use Graph for that (neat piece of freeware).
