Maps not working??

So I have a problem with any custom maps I download and that problem is that for some reason none of them seem to work. Whenever I try and load a map it doesn't show any teams and when I press the start game button it just sends me back to the main screen. Or it says that the map file is too big? Can someone help with this?

Is your WarCraft patch outdated?
