I was wondering if it was possible to make a big carrier. Instead of interceptors it let out small carriers that would slowly fly around and let out little interceptors or some other flying unit.

It is completly possible, you can even have a unit with multiple of its own units inside it and SC2 will not error and function as normal.

Logically if you do this you will probably end up with a lot of lag after attacking for a while and the bellow might occur.

Lots of interceptors everywhere. If you attack move (foolish unless numbers prevent micro) you end up with huge air battles and lots of lost interceptors falling from the sky (accompanied by reduced frame rate and possible game is slowed messages).

If you micro, then its basically intercetpors are attacking carriers only, not too impressive as the interceptors die as soon as the carrier dies.

Basically carrier vs carrier is like any low number unit fight, with focuse on the main key units. Carriers vs marines is more impressive as the carriers can not focuse on them but the marines can attack move and kill the interepters (although killing carriers may still be better).
