i like the spawn effect but it doesn't look "lava"ish if you know what i mean.
uh... i forgot the word but it looks too... formed? im thinking it has to be a bit more curvy

nah. curvy just adds to the filesize with no apparent reason. I will not change it. it is fitting my concept already. Curvy just isn't cost efficient.

Simply, give it an eruption animation(aka birth), stand animation is the tentacle swirling around. Work animation could be the lava tentacle glowing and death... well, simply death. Nothing fancy.
